AMHERST, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's basketball team held host Daemen to 3 of 18 shooting while outscoring the Wildcats 18-17 in the second quarter of Saturday's East Coast Conference game at Lumsden Gymnasium.
Daemen found its shooting touch in the second half, going 15-for-30 from the field on its way to an 81-58 win over the Redhawks.
Graduate student
Georgia Haverlock scored 15 points and recorded three assists to lead Roberts (2-4, 0-2 ECC).
Marianna Freeman added 10 points and
Grace Galgano contributed eight points and 12 rebounds.
Daemen held a 43-29 advantage in rebounding and converted 20 second chance points in the game.
The Redhawks return to action for a non-conference game against Lock Haven at 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Voller Athletic Center.
