ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's volleyball team dropped an East Coast Conference game to Mercy on Sunday afternoon, 3-1.  
 
Celine Malosa had eight kills to go along with six blocks. Olivia Price also added eight kills, four blocks and 10 digs.
 
Mercy was led by Larissa Schnied who had 21 kills.
 
1st Set (25-16)
It was the exact start the Redhawks wanted in the first set as the team took an 11-3 lead. Morgan Verbridge had back-to-back blocks for points 10 and 11. The sophomore had nine total blocks in the match. Roberts dominated the entire set getting 13 kills on 34 attempts (.324%). Mercy had eight hitting errors.
 
2nd Set (19-25)
Mercy came out on the offensive with a 5-0 start. With the Mavericks at set point, Roberts rallied for three straight points to close to gap to 24-19, but a service error gave the visitors the set win to tie up the match.
 
3rd Set (21-25)
An 8-1 run by the Mavericks was the pivotal point in the third set. Roberts held a 13-9 advantage, but the Mercy run which included three service aces put the Mavericks in front 17-14.
 
4th Set (21-25)
The lead changed four times before Mercy took the lead for good. Price had two kills late in the match to close the gap to 23-19. Roberts then got to 24-21 before a service error gave Mercy its final point for the match.

Roberts (4-7, 1-1 ECC) will play at Daemen on Wednesday. First serve is at 6 p.m.
