FLUSHING, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team built an eight-point lead in the second half, but Queens College used a big run in the final five minutes to defeat the Redhawks, 87-76, in an East Coast Conference game.
Junior guard
Kevin Constant scored a season-high 22 points to lead Roberts (6-7, 3-2 ECC), which saw its four-game winning streak end.
Sophomore
Ryan Hudson equaled his career-high with 17 points while
Malik Brooks scored 14 points and
Marlon Pratt Jr. added 10 for the Redhawks. Junior
Isaiah Elmore contributed eight points and eight rebounds.
Roberts led 55-47 after Constant made two free throws with 12:40 to play. The Redhawks were still in front, 68-65, before Queens scored nine straight points to gain control of the game.
The Redhawks will play at Molloy in an ECC game at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
