FLUSHING, N.Y. – Senior guard
Danielle DiCintio scored 18 of her 23 points in the first half of the Roberts Wesleyan University women's basketball team's 68-59 loss to Queens College on Friday.
DiCintio made 7 of 11 field goal attempts, including 4 of 6 from three-point range, as the Redhawks and Knights played to a 35-35 tie at the half. The teams were knotted at 57 in the East Coast Conference game before the Knights outscored Roberts over the final 4:28 of the fourth quarter.
Graduate student
Georgia Haverlock scored 12 points for Roberts (5-8, 1-4 ECC).
Grace Dow led the Redhawks with eight rebounds while
Paris Anthony and
Grace Galgano each grabbed seven.
The Redhawks' weekend road trip concludes with an ECC game at Molloy on Sunday. Tipoff is scheduled for noon.
