COLCHESTER, VT – The Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team was unable to find the back of the net Tuesday afternoon in a 1-0 road loss to Saint Michael's College in Vermont.
The Purple Knights (6-5-1 overall) scored the lone goal of the game in the 72nd minute and held on over the final minutes as the Roberts Wesleyan (5-5-1) applied late offensive pressure with a pair of shots on goal in the final 10 minutes.
For the game, Saint Michael's held a 14-10 shots advantage while the Redhawks managed a 4-2 edge in corner kicks.
Sophomore Myles Palmer had three shots with two landing on goal while fifth-year Tamas Nagy led the team with four shots on the afternoon.
Junior Eric Jewson was credited with five saves for Roberts.
The Redhawks continue the current stretch of road games Saturday in Washington to face the University of the District of Columbia with a 2 p.m. game.
