Redhawks Drop Road Contest At D'Youville

BUFFALO, N.Y. – D'Youville scored twice in each half while handing the Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team a 4-1 loss in East Coast Conference play on Wednesday night.

The game was delayed due to lightning in the 12th minute and the Saints opened the scoring shortly after play resumed.

Roberts (6-6-1, 4-2 ECC) tied the game at 1 in the 35th minute when Jack Hopson's cross found the foot of Cooper Kerridge in front of the D'Youville goal, a sophomore, redirected the ball into the net for his first goal as a Redhawk.

D'Youville regained the lead in the 42nd minute and the Saints put the contest away on two second-half goals by Ethan Robinson.

Eric Jewson made seven saves for Roberts.

The Redhawks will play their final conference of regular season when they host Molloy at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
