GENEVA, NY – Junior Tommy Booth recorded two of the 13 first-place finishes for the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Swimming and Diving team as the Redhawks defeated Hobart College in a dual meet Saturday.
Booth won both Breaststroke events with a winning tome of 1:03.67 in the 100 and 2:24.43 in the 200 as the Redhawks won the team score 191-87.
Booth also helped the Redhawks to a top finish in the 200 Medley Relay as he teamed with freshman Ethan Springle, freshman Antonie Pieterse and junior Andon Fedor for a winning time of 1:45.00.
Springle added a first-place finish in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:15.97 and swam the anchor leg on the 400 free relay as he raced with brothers Avery Fedor and Andon Fedor as well as sophomore Aiden Soggs with a time of 3:36.48.
Pieterse raced to a top finish in the 200 free (1:46.05), the 200 butterfly (1:57.68) and the 500 free (5:07.05) for the Redhawks. Senior William Rugaber was the top finisher in both diving events with 214.60 points on the 1-meter board and 251.70 on the 3-meter board.
Freshman Tanner Pinto-Cohn (1:02.97), sophomore Brodyn Baldwin (1:03.74) and sophomore Jaden Parshall (1:05.12) finished 1-2-3 in the 100 backstroke race.
Freshman Derek Woodford rounded out the top finishers for Roberts with his first-place finish in the 1000 freestyle with a winning time of 11:02.95.
Roberts will host LeMoyne November 2 at the Voller Athletic Center.
