SPARKILL, NY – A pair of double-digit scoring runs in the second half allowed St. Thomas Aquinas to open up a big lead and the Spartans went on to post a 67-48 win over the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Basketball team Sunday afternoon in an East Coast Conference (ECC) game at STAC.

Senior Grace Dow led Roberts (0-9 overall, 0-2 ECC) with 17 points and grabbed six rebounds while freshman Erin Frazier added 10 points and a team-leading nine rebounds.

STAC (3-5, 1-0 ECC) held a 31-23 lead at halftime but had a 14-0 early in the second half and added to its lead with the first 13 points of the fourth quarter.

The Redhawks rallied late to trim the lead to within 20 points with baskets by sophomore Nevaeh Sanchez and freshman Ariana Lynch was well as a three-point play by Dow.
