ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Three players had double-digit kills on Thursday evening in the Voller Athletic Center as the Roberts Wesleyan University men's volleyball team took down Kentucky State University, 3-1.
Griffin Monrad had 12 kills,
Noah Liousfi had 11 kills and
Paul Fillion also had 11 kills to drive the Redhawks offense. The three players combined for 43 points in total and had one of the most efficient hitting nights of the season getting 34 kills on 62 attack attempts (.548 hitting percentage).
In the three sets the Redhawks won, Kentucky State didn't score more than 17 points. Roberts won the first set, 25-14 and then sets three and four, 25-17.
Troy Vo led the team in digs with 11 while
Riley Green had 39 assists.
Roberts (6-11, 1-1 ECC) will travel to American International College on Saturday for a noon match.
