ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan women's lacrosse picked up its second straight East Coast Conference win on Thursday afternoon with a 13-7 win over Molloy.
Roberts never trailed in the game and used a six-goal second quarter to create a comfortable margin between them and the Lions.
Annie Mulhall had her best game of the season with six goals which included five goals in the first half. Mulhall hit the 100-career point milestone during the game and now has 90 goals and 10 assists in two seasons for the Redhawks.
Emma Blumenstock, the league's leader in points per game and assists per game led the team in points again with eight coming from two goals and six assists.
Kadie Tierney and
Ella Dossier each added two goals and
Lucy Rugaber had one goal.
Senior
Madelyn Robinson eclipsed the 100-career caused turnovers mark after recording two in the win.
Much of the Redhawks success came from controlling the draw circle.
Sophia Podszebka had 14 draw controls on her own, six more than Molloy had in total as a team.
Roberts (5-5, 2-0 ECC) will travel to the University of the District of Columbia for an 11 a.m. game on Saturday.
