Redhawks Reach Milestones In Win Over Ursuline

 ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Annie Mulhall scored her 100th career goal and Lucy Rugaber registered her 100th collegiate point as the Roberts Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team defeated Ursuline College 22-0 in a non-conference game on Sunday afternoon.
Mulhall, a junior from Webster, N.Y., scored four goals in the first half to reach the milestone in her second season as a Redhawk. Rugaber, a graduate student from Penfield, N.Y., contributed a goal and seven assists to reach the 100-point mark. A transfer from Niagara University, she leads the East Coast Conference with 69 points this season.
"It was a good game for us," said Roberts head coach Kristin Paolini, whose team has won five straight games to improve to 8-5 on the season. "I am very proud of the team. They were very intentional in what they were able to accomplish today."
Roberts started quickly as Mulhall scored twice in the first 1:39. The game was halted by a weather delay with 10:41 remaining in the first quarter and the Redhawks returned with a purpose, scoring six goals in the final 6:49 of the opening period.
Roberts outshot Ursuline 36-1 in the game and assisted on 19 of their 22 goals.
Junior Tannah O'Neill-Blake set a career high with six points with three goals and three assists for Roberts. Senior Sophia Podszebka dominated the circle with 16 draw controls and added five points with three goals and two assists.
Mulhall (4 goals, 1 assist) and sophomore Ella Dossier (1 goal, 4 assists) also added five points. Freshman Avery Barnhill added a hat trick and sophomore defender Emma Taylor added the first three points of her career with two goals and an assist.
Freshman Alison Dioguardi scored two goals while Emma Blumenstock, Kadie Tierney and Brooke Tangelder each added one.
The Redhawks will return to ECC action against Saint Thomas Aquinas College at noon on Saturday.
