Redhawks Rally In Second Half To Tie Molloy

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team scored three times in less than 11 minutes in the second half to overcome a two-goal deficit and earn a 3-3 draw with Molloy in an East Coast Conference match on Saturday afternoon.

Roberts (7-0-5, 3-0-2 ECC) trailed Molloy 2-0 when sophomore Sebastian Guerrero scored in the 67th minute to ignite the rally.

Freshman Muzaffer Aydar scored 49 seconds later to tie the game for the Redhawks. The goal was Aydar's second of the season.

Molloy regained the lead at the 76:05 mark, but senior Iann Briones converted a feed from junior Archie Murphy in the 78th minute to cap the comeback. The goal was Briones' first of the season.

Senior Eric Jewson made four saves for the Redhawks, who have not lost in 12 matches this season.

The Redhawks will play a non-conference match at Bloomsburg before returning home to host ECC rival Mercy on Saturday.
