ROCHESTER, NY – Freshman Ryan Hull recorded a team-leading 12 kills for the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team but a pair of set wins late allowed D'Youville University to post a 3-1-win Wednesday in an East Coast Conference (ECC) match in the Voller Athletic Center.
The Saints ( 5-12 overall, 2-4 ECC) took a 1-0 lead with a 25-22 win in the opening set but the Redhawks (2-16, 2-3 ECC) rallied to knot the score at 1-1 with a 25-19 victory in the second set. D'Youville bounced back to win the final two sets 25-17 and 25-22 to close out the match.
Hull had 12 kills and a .269 attack percentage and fellow freshman Sierra George led the team with 30 assists.
Junior Camryn Karelus added nine kills and freshman Alexis Kessler added a team-best three aces and seven digs. Senior Morgan Burnett also had seven digs while junior Julia Dufková and senior Olivia Price added five digs each. Price also had six kills for Roberts.
The Redhawks hit the road for six consecutive matches starting next Tuesday at Lake Erie College.
