Archie Murphy scored two goals and senior midfielder
Iann Briones added a goal and an assist as the Roberts Wesleyan University men's soccer team remained unbeaten in East Coast Conference play after tying visiting Mercy 3-3 on Saturday afternoon.
Murphy, leads the ECC with 11 goals and 25 points this season, headed home a cross from
Ewan O'Dwyer-Hall to give Roberts a 1-0 lead in the 10
th minute.
Mercy scored the next two goals before Brionnes half-volleyed home a shot from the top of the box in the 67
th minute for his second goal of the season.
Murphy restored the lead for Roberts (7-1-6, 3-0-3), converting a rebound off a direct kick by Birones just 1:06 later.
Mercy, which held a 20-9 advantage in shots, netted the equalizer in the 70
th minute.
Senior
Eric Jewson made nine saves for Roberts, including a couple of timely stops late that kept the match tied.
The Redhawks will host Saint Michael's College in a non-conference match at 3 p.m. on Tuesday.
