ROCKVILLE CENTER, NY – Senior Grace Dow recorded her second double-double in the past three games with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Basketball team but and early deficit in the first quarter against Molloy University led to a 79-51 East Coast Conference (ECC) win for the Lions Sunday afternoon.
Molloy (12-11 overall, 5-5 ECC) sprinted out to a 23-8 lead in the first period and added a 10-point scoring advantage in the third quarter to post the victory.
Dow led Roberts (2-18, 2-10 ECC) with her 12 points and also led the team with her 11 rebounds – all on the defensive end of the court. Junior Marianna Freeman scored 10 points and graduate student Georgia Haverlock added eight points.
The Redhawks are off until February 19 when the team travels to Staten Island for a mid-week matchup and will be at home February 22 for Senior Day against the University of the District of Columbia.
