ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches against Dominican University on Saturday.
The Chargers prevailed in the first match, an East Coast Conference showdown that went four sets, 21-25, 25-20, 25-23 and 25-14. Dominican won the second match, a non-conference tilt, 25-23, 25-27, 26-24, 21-25 and 15-12.
Jonah Grbic and
Griffin Monrad each had 11 kills for the Redhawks (6-12, 0-2 ECC) in the first match.
Paul Fillion added seven kills and four blocks while
Landon Brouwer contributed 35 assists and
Moises Jimenez had 12 digs.
Ryan DeJohn and
Calvin Lill each had 11 kills in the second match, which was tied at 12 in the fifth set before Dominican scored the final three points to close it out. Lill also added 13 digs.
Noah Liousfi added 10 kills and
Eli Harden collected 34 assists.
The Redhawks return to action for an ECC match at American International College at 1 p.m. on March 8.
