ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Senior
Annie Mulhall scored seven goals to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University women's lacrosse team to its second consecutive East Coast Conference victory, a 14-5 triumph over D'Youville on Wednesday afternoon.
"Every shot that she took today was different," Redhawks coach
Kristin Paolini said. "She stepped out of her comfort zone by trying those shots against a great goalie and showed what a great player she is."Â
Mulhall went on a personal 4-0 run over an 8:20 span bridging the third and fourth quarters as the Redhawks (3-6, 2-0 ECC) pulled away by outscoring D'Youville 9-2 in the second half. The Roberts' defense limited the Saints to 20 total shots and 14 shots on goal for the game.
"They really stepped up," Paolini said. "They had a lot of fun creating pressure on the defensive side."Â
