GREENWOOD, IN – A quintet of student-athletes from the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Track and Field and Cross Country teams were honored this week with selection to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team.
Graduate students Owen White and Connor Beagle, senior Zachary Hall, junior Corden Zimmerman and sophomore Micah Barber were each selected to the squad.
The requirements for Academic All-District honors are at least a sophomore academically and maintain at least a 3.5 grade point average as well as have considerable contribution to the team success for the most recent season. The organization honors several thousand student-athletes each year from each NCAA Division and the NAIA as honorees are nominated by the members of the organization previously known as CoSIDA.
White, Hall and Barber led the Redhawks to the NCAA Championships in Cross Country while Beagle competed in the sprints and hurdle events and Zimmerman competed in the multi and pole vault events during the indoor and outdoor track and field seasons. The men finished second at the ECC Indoor Championships and won the conference title at the ECC Outdoor Championships.
