CLINTON, N.Y. – Senior
Jackson Doran placed fourth to lead the Roberts Wesleyan University men's cross country team to a second-place finish at the Hamilton Short Course Invitational on Saturday.
Doran completed the 5K course at the Hamilton College Golf Course in 15:26.5. Roberts, which placed four runners in the top 11, finished 15 points behind St. Lawrence in the eight-team field.
Sophomores
Trevor Heitkamp (15:28.2),
Jakob Zibbel (15:38.4) and
Charles Matzke (15:42.6) placed sixth, ninth and 11
th, respectively, for the Redhawks.
Junior
Vincent Ciraolo took 17
th in 15:56.9 and sophomore
Juvenal Diaz-Cortes was 18
th in 15:57.8.
Freshman
Braden Fears was 28
th in 16:09.7 and first-year runner
Caleb Price placed 30
th (16:10.3).
The Redhawks will take a week off from racing before hosting the Harry F. Anderson Invitational Sept. 27 as part of Homecoming Weekend.
