ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Makena Tooley did it again.

Tooley, a sophomore midfielder, scored her second game-winning goal of the weekend as the Roberts Wesleyan University field hockey team defeated Molloy 1-0 in two overtimes on Sunday afternoon.

Tooley converted the rebound off a shot by Julia Lukasik into the game's only goal 1:17 into the second extra session as the Redhawks improved to 2-0 on the season. Roberts was a player down at the time.

"It happened kind of fast because the way that the goalkeeper cleared it was kind of bumpy, so I had to settle it," said Tooley, who scored late in the fourth quarter to give the Redhawks a 1-0 victory over Mercy on Friday night. "I had a clear shot, so I was just trying to keep the ball on the ground."

She did and the ball went into the far side of the cage to give Roberts its second straight win over a Division II opponent.

The Redhawks displayed plenty of resilience in the game, including being two players short during a stretch in overtime.

"They definitely showed composure when we needed it," Roberts coach Marissa Kocher said. "We talked about moments today, and I think that we made the most of our moments, especially in the second overtime."

The Redhawks held a 10-3 advantage in shots, and a 6-1 advantage in shots on goal for the game while notching their second straight shutout.

Roberts will host the third game of its season-opening four-game homestand against St. Thomas Aquinas College at 6 p.m. on Friday.
