WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Roberts Wesleyan University men's basketball team trimmed a 15-point deficit to six several times in the second half but was unable to pull any closer and dropped an 85-74 decision to the University of the District of Columbia in an East Coast Conference game on Wednesday night.
Freshman
Jordan Brown scored 20 points to lead five players in double figures for the Redhawks (3-10, 1-4 ECC).
Collin Woods added 13 points,
Khalik Gardner scored 11 and
Keonjay Carter and
Jaden Lee each contributed 10.
Trey Kleitz added five assists for Roberts, which trailed 43-28 at the half and was out-rebounded 36-22 in the game.
The Redhawks return home to the Voller Athletic Center to host the College of Staten Island in its annual game to benefit Golisano Children's Hospital at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
