Redhawks Fall To No. 16 Daemen

AMHERST, N.Y. – The Roberts Wesleyan University women's basketball team fell behind early and dropped an 86-49 decision at No. 16 Daemen in an East Coast Conference game on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Aniyah Jones scored 11 points and senior Laura Granada added a career-high 10 for the Redhawks (4-12, 1-7 ECC).

Freshman Sarah Seyfang equaled her career best with nine points and sophomore Erin Frazier, who ranks third in the conference in rebounding, grabbed six boards.

Roberts, which committed 33 turnovers, fell behind 11-0 and the Wildcats (17-2, 10-0) used their fast break to outscore Roberts 31-4 in transition.

The Redhawks return to action on Friday night for an ECC game at Saint Thomas Aquinas College.
