COLONIA, NJ – Junior Aiden Ambeau and freshman Mason Simmons played key roles in the shutout victory for the Roberts Wesleyan University Men's Soccer team last week and have each been named to major East Coast Conference (ECC) Weekly awards.

Ambeau has been named the Defensive Player of the Week and Simmons was tabbed as the ECC Rookie of the Week.

Simmons moved into the starting lineup after an injury and delivered a shutout victory over Bloomsburg in the lone game of the week for Roberts. Simmons finished with five saves in the 2-0 win at home Wednesday night. Ambeau anchored the solid defensive effort against the Huskies in the midweek game.

Roberts will face Bryant and Stratton Tuesday and finish the week in ECC play Saturday at home against St. Thomas Aquinas College.
