WALTHAM, MA – A pair of second-half goals surrendered to nationally-ranked Bentley University gave the Falcons a 2-0 victory over the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Soccer team Wednesday afternoon.
After a scoreless first half where Roberts (6-3-5) was outshot 18-4, Bentley (9-1-2), ranked No. 16 in the latest United Soccer Coaches national poll, scored in the first minute of the second period for the 1-0 lead.
In the 50th minute, Bentley scored a second goal to double the lead.
The Falcons finished with a 29-7 shots advantage and the goalie tandem of senior Rebecca Hoffman and Mia Tyndell combined for 10 saves.
Roberts returns to action Friday at Daemen University in a non-conference game after the two played the East Coast Conference (ECC) matchup last week.
