EVANSVILLE, IN – On the second day of the NCAA Division II Swimming and Diving Championships sophomore Antonie Pieterse raced to a seventh-place finish in the championship final of the 100-yard Butterfly race to win All-America honors for the second consecutive season in the same event.
In 2025, Pieterse placed sixth with a time of 46.66 and almost exactly one year later, he finished the race in 46.67 and reached the podium in seventh place to earn All-American honors.
Earlier in the day, the South Africa native won his preliminary heat with a time of 46.76 to earn a spot in the Championship final.
Later in the morning session, he nearly qualified for a second final as he raced to an 18th place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle with a time of 1:37.17.
Pieterse will race again Saturday when he takes to the water in the 100-yard Freestyle event.
