WILMINGTON, DE – Senior Ella Dossier scored the first of three goals on the day early in the second quarter for the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Lacrosse team to cut the lead opened by Wilmington University to 4-3 but the Wildcats responded with a six-goal run and the Redhawks eventually fell 16-6 in the non-conference game in Delaware.

Sophomore Lia MacDougall and junior Alison Dioguardi scored first-quarter goals but Wilmington answered with a late goal in the first period and an early goal in the second quarter to take a 4-2 lead.

Dossier scored to trim the lead to 4-3 before the key Wildcat run.

MacDougall scored with 2:39 left in the third to stop the run but Wilmington answered with four of the next five goals to extend the lead to 14-5.

Dossier scored the goal in the middle of the Wilmington run and then added her third goal of the day at 7:23 of the final quarter to cut the lead to 14-6. The Wildcats scored the final two goals for the final margin of victory.
