CANTON, OH – Senior Camryn Karelus recorded 24 kills and fellow senior Julia Dufková added 23 digs for the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team but the Redhawks dropped a pair of 3-0 matches Saturday on the final day of the Hall of Fame City Challenge Tournament hosted by Malone University.
Roberts (1-3) fell to Edinboro University 25-15, 25-18 and 27-25 in the opener and dropped a 3-0 decision to host Malone in the afternoon match by set scores of 25-14, 26-24 and 25-14.
Karelus recorded double-digit kills in each match with 13 in the opener and 11 against Malone. Dufková led Roberts with 15 digs in the morning match and added eight in the second match.
Sophomore Ryan Hull and freshman Breanna Hard split the setting duties and each had 18 assists while sophomore Tiana Copp chipped in dix kills and 15 digs on Saturday.
Roberts returns to action Friday night against Lock Haven University in the first match of the home Invitational Tournament Friday and Saturday at the Voller Athletic Center. The Redhawks host Lock Haven, Georgian Court University and Redeemer University over the weekend.
