ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Camryn Karelus knocked down 17 kills and fellow senior Julia Dufková added 16 digs for the Roberts Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball team Sunday but an early 1-0 lead slipped away as Saint Michael's College rebounded for a 3-1 win in the Voller Athletic Center.
Roberts (2-10) won the opening set 25-19 but dropped a close 26-24 decision in the second set and Saint Michael's (2-8) rallied for wins in the third and fourth sets 25-19, and 25-22.
Karelus recorded her third consecutive and eighth double-digit kills match of the season with her team-leading 17 kills to lead the Redhawks offense. Freshman Alyssa Snarry added eight kills while sophomores Ryan Hull and Rachel Dixon added five kills each.
Hull had 24 assists, three aces and eight digs, Karelus added nine digs while Dixon and Hull combined for nine blocks.
The Redhawks will hit the road for four straight matches starting Wednesday at Ursuline College before the start of East Coast Conference (ECC) play at Queens College, Molloy University and Daemen University.
