Biography
Scholastically: Stokelin graduated from Irondequoit High School in 2006 where he averaged 13.8 points per game his senior season. He lettered in both basketball and track and was selected First Team All-County and Second Team All Greater Rochester. He was a Section V All-Tournament selection and was chosen as the MVP of the Monroe County All-Star Game.
The 6’2 senior will be starting at the point guard position for Raiders again this fall after playing two years at Pima Community College in Tucson, Arizona. While playing in Arizona, Stokelin received recognition as the NJCAA National Player of the Week and was also a two-time recipient of the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Week. His sophomore season at Pima CC., Stokelin averaged 14.6 points per game, 7.3 rebounds, which was seventh in the conference, and 3.1 assists.
Last season, his first as a Raider, Rashaad averaged 11.1 points per game and 5.7 rebounds. He also led the team with 121 assists. Stokelin shot 34% from behind the three point line and 81% from the free throw line. He received Honorable Mention status from the AMC and 3rd Team recognition from the NCCAA East Region.
Stokelin is an Accounting Major.
