Ian Nash began as the Defensive Coordinator for the Roberts Wesleyan men’s lacrosse team in 2015. In his second year, Coach Nash led his Man-Down Defense to an 82.1% success rate, which was good for 4th Best in the National Ranks. The defense also saw a significant improvement in Scoring Defense, decreasing their Goals Against Average by 2.62.

As a player, Nash played for West Irondequoit High School (NY) from 2007-2008. In 2007, Nash played for the Section V Championship Title team that made it to the State semi-finals, earning 2nd Team All-County honors as a Junior. In 2008, Nash led his team to the Section V Championship Game and earned 1st Team All-County Honors.

Nash played for the 2011 National Championship Title team at Salisbury University, seeing significant playing time at the Long Stick Midfield position. Prior to Salisbury, Nash played for Monroe Community College, where he was teammates with Coach Cornaire, from 2008-2010. At Monroe, Nash earned All-American honors in ‘09, as well as, 1st Team All-Region Honors in ‘10. Coach Nash also served as Captain of the team for both of his years at Monroe.

Coach Nash finished his lacrosse playing career, right here, at Roberts in 2013. He notched 4 Goals and 4 Assists as an LSM and was a pivotal player for the Defense.  He was also voted as Team Captain in his lone year at Roberts.

Born in South Korea, Coach Nash is currently a Rochester native.
