Sean McNamara

Sean McNamara began serving as a Volunteer Assistant Lacrosse Coach at Roberts Wesleyan in 2017, working with the team’s goalies and supporting Defensive Coordinator Ian Nash.

As a player, McNamara played for Bishop Kearney High School (NY) before continuing his playing career at Monroe Community College (1994-1995).  He was a 2x All Region selection for the Tribunes.  McNamara continued his playing career at Randolph-Macon College (VA) where he was a two-year starter, and team captain his senior year.

He graduated RMC in 1998 and joined the coaching staff the next year. McNamara would go on to hold coaching positions at Messiah College (PA), Calverton High School (MD) and Calvert Hall (MD) before moving to Kansas City in 2007. Upon returning to the Western New York area in 2010, he has enjoyed coaching at McQuaid Jesuit HS. McNamara has been a dedicated coach and volunteer coach in the Spencerport Youth Lacrosse program since 2011.  He is passionate about his work and coaching in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) program, where he has been on staff since 1999.

McNamara and his wife Anna (Roberts Wesleyan 2001) live in Spencerport with their four children Grace, Luke, Caleb & Ella.
