Biography
Name: Jose Maria Carrillo Reina
Career Goals: I want to become a business man, leading my own company and helping the economy of the world. Always respecting the environment and solving the social problems.
Tennis History and Highlights: I was ranked 4 in the Canary Islands. I have trained with top professional tennis players like Magui Serna (WTA) Carla Suarez (WTA) and competing at a high level. I played in McPherson College in the top 5 in singles and as number 2 in doubles, winning the conference. I won the deciding point when we were 4-4 against Graceland, getting the win for McPherson and earning us a place in the NAIA National Championships. I finished the season 9-5 in singles and 11-7 in doubles.
Favorite food: Japanesse food and Spanish food.
Favorite Music group/performer: Deep house, Reggaeton, Rap.
Favorite Athlete: David Ferrer and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Why I choose Roberts: From my point of view I think that Robert´s is the best option that I had, because I see that they are a family and the values of playing as a team are always present. Since the first day I talked with Coach, he showed me a great desire to have me in the team and welcome me into the Redhawk tennis family. Academically, Robert´s can offer me the knowledge and experience in the business world that will help me reach my goals.
What I look forward to the most about playing college tennis: I look forward to going to nationals with the team and beating the top teams in our conference; learning from my teammates, and doing my best in every match.
