Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks

John joined the Women’s Soccer team in 2021 as the Goalkeeper/Assistant coach. Having found success as a goalkeeper coach at the local high school and club level, coach Knowles brings his passion and energy for the position to the Redhawks shot stoppers. As a multi-sport goalkeeper coach, he also brings a unique and innovative perspective to the position.

In his inaugural season, Knowles coached the goalies to success, including sophomore Nicolette Knauf receiving ECC Defensive ‘Player of the Week’ honors on 10/12/21.

John is United Soccer Coaches Level 3 Goalkeeping certified and US Soccer State Goalkeeping certified. He is a certified Mental Performance coach and a content reviewer for Championship Productions.

When not on the pitch at Roberts, John shares his passion for the goalkeeping position through his company Deny Goalkeeping, LLC.
