Mitch Segbers

Mitch Segbers serves as an Assistant Coach for the Roberts Wesleyan Men’s & Women’s Volleyball teams. He also serves as the coach for Roberts’ Developmental Women's Volleyball team. In addition to his roles at Roberts Wesleyan, he also works as a Physical Education teacher at Canandaigua Academy.

Segbers brings both passion and knowledge of the sport to Roberts having years of experience coaching and teaching at the youth, high school, club, and college levels. At the high school level, his teams were consistently championship contenders, having coached in Sectional Semi-Finals and Finals games four times in six years. At the club level, his teams also experienced a lot of successes winning many local and regional tournaments, and finishing as high as 3rd place in the 15U Open Division at USA Nationals.

As a player, Segbers was a part of two state championship winning volleyball teams and a state championship winning baseball team at Victor High School. He went on to earn a B.S. in Health & Physical Education at Syracuse University where he was a member and captain of the Syracuse Cheerleading Team. Segbers then went on to earn his M.S. in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Northern Colorado before starting his teaching and coaching career back in upstate New York. 

Segbers lives in Victor, NY with his wife Brianna and their daughter Cora.
