NORTH CANTON, Ohio (October 22, 2011) – The Volleyball team played two matches this afternoon at the Walsh University Quad Match. The Raiders faced Walsh University and Ursuline College.
In the first match, the Raiders fell to Walsh in three sets (19-25, 18-25, 16-25).
Gisela Ocasio finished with nine killes and eight digs for the Raiders.
The Raiders won their second match of the day 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-22) against Ursuline College.
On the day,
Lisa Bierdeman totaled 64 assists and 36 digs through the two matches.
Gisela Ocasio led the attack with 19 kills to go with her 21 digs.
Katie Maher had 27 digs to lead the defense.
Kendall Havener chipped in 17 kills and two blocks.
The Raiders are now 16-9 overall and 3-5 in conference action.
The team is home Tuesday when the host Daemen College at 7pm. Fans are encouraged to wear red in support of the Raiders and Mothers Agaisnt Drunk Driving (MADD).
