PEPPER PIKE, Ohio (December 10, 2011) – The Women's Basketball team cruised past Ursuline College 80-59 this afternoon in the second game of the Ohio/New York Challenge.
The Raiders never trailed in the game as the Raiders shot out to an 18-7 lead only six minutes into the game.
The visitors shot 48.6% from the field, going 34 of 70. The Raiders also shot an impressive 38% from three point range, hitting 8 of 21 attempts.
The Raiders were led by
Marissa Bunce, who put in 19 points after hitting five from beyond the arc.
Bianca Jones was one rebound shy of a double-double as the senior forward scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
Sarah Child added 14 points for the Raiders, going 7 of 11 from the field.
Ursuline's Katie cappello led all scorers with 28 points.
The win stops the Raiders two game skid and improves the team's record to 7-4.
The Raiders are off until Wednesday, December 21
st when they face Canadian opponent Laurentian University in the Deamen College Holiday Classic.
