WES MIFFLIN, Pa. (February 11, 2012) – The Women's Basketball team fell to the Point Park University Pioneers this afternoon, 57-39.

The Raiders have now lost both games this season against the Pioneers. On January 21, the Raiders lost to Point Park by the same score at home. The loss snaped the Raiders' six-game win streak.

The Pioneers controlled the game in the second half as Point Park was led the entire half. The Raiders would come to within seven points with 13:07 left in the game to make it a 34-27 ball game after junior guard Marissa Bunce hit one of her five shots from beyond the arc.

Later in half, Bunce  surpassed the 1,000th career points mark on a good three-point shot with 9:30 remaining  to cut the Pioneers lead to 10 points.

Bunce lead all scorers with 20 points in the game to go along with three steals.

The Pioneers were led by Katresa Savisky's 18 points.

With the loss, the Raiders fall to 18-9 overall and 8-4 in the American Mideast Conference.

The Raiders next game is at home when they host Walsh University on Tuesday evening at 6:00pm. Fans are encouraged to wear to red in support of the team's senior players.  Seniors Bianca Jones and Sarah Child will be honored in a pre-game ceremony.
