NYACK, N.Y. (Oct. 25, 2014) – Roberts Wesleyan split a pair of matches this afternoon at a tri-match, hosted by Nyack College.

In the first match, the Redhawks were unable to hold a 2-1 lead through three sets, falling to the University of the Sciences in five sets. After dropping the first set, 26-24, the Redhawks won the next two 25-17 and 25-19. However, USciences won the next two sets 25-22 and 15-10.

In the loss, freshman
Courtney Taylor paced the team with 15 kills and no errors for a .341 hitting percentage. Senior middle blocker
Kendall Havener added 13 kills while
Elisabeth Rivera posted a season-high 44 assists.

The second match as Roberts Wesleyan dominating the hosts, Nyack, in a three-set win.

In that match,
Jordan Wilson recorded a match-high 12 kills with just two errors on 24 attempts, finishing with an effective .417 hitting percentage.

Rivera added 29 assists as
Courtney Taylor added eight kills and 14 digs.

The Redhawks are back in action in the Hudson Valley tomorrow as they play in a tri-match hosted by Mercy. The team will take on the hosts as well as Dominican (N.Y.)
