ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Nov. 1, 2014) –
Kendall Havener recorded her 1,000 career kill while leading the Redhawks to a three-set win over Molloy on Senior Day.
Havener paced Roberts Wesleyan with a match-high 14 kills on 20 attacks to finish with a .550 hitting percentage. The middle blocker also notched two aces in the win.
The match was close throughout with both teams playing each other closely, evidenced by the sets scores of 25-19, 25-22, 28-26. The victory also gave the Redhawks the season sweep over the Lions.
Jordan Wilson, who now has 999 career kills, was right behind Havener with 12 kills in the match. She will look to reach the 1,000 mark tomorrow when the team hosts Queens.
Fellow senior
Judy Schultz tallied seven kills while both Schultz and
Becca Maher each tallied seven digs.
As a team, Roberts Wesleyan posted a .252 hitting percentage compared to Molloy's .159 mark. The Redhawks also forced Molloy to commit 21 errors.
The win puts Roberts Wesleyan at 14-9 overall and 10-5 in the East Coast Conference standings. They host the Knights tomorrow at noon in their final home match of the season.
