ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Dec. 11, 2014) – Roberts Wesleyan opens up East Coast Conference play this weekend with games against Queens on Friday and Molloy on Saturday.
The Friday night game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. while Saturday's match-up is set for 4:00 p.m.
TICKETSRoberts Wesleyan offers multiple ticket options, including courtside seating for $5. The 20 chair-back seats are available for all home games on a first-come first-serve basis. General admission is $3. Seniors (65 +) are $2, visiting students/children under 12 are $1, and RWC/NES students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid College ID.
PROMOTIONSThe basketball teams are partnering with the
Pirate Toy Fund this weekend to help spread joy to children in the Rochester region. Anyone who donates a new toy at the games will receive free admission to the both the women's and men's games.

Fans will also have the chance to win prizes and giveaways from Salvatore's Pizzeria, Bill Gray's, Fatheads, Yolickity, and more.

SCOUTING QUEENS (0-6, 0-0 ECC)Queens comes into the weekend searching for their first win of the season. In their last outting, the Knights fell to NE-10 foes, Pace, with a score of 66-61... Senior guard Jeremiah Mordi has been a force on offense thus far as he is averaging 20.8 points per game. The only other double-digit scorer is junior forward Mohamed Dansoko (10.0)... On the boards, Re'Quan Hopson leads the Knights with 8.0 rebounds per game. As a team, Queens is out-rebounding their opponents 35.7 to 33.8 on the year...

SCOUTING MOLLOY (6-2, 1-0 ECC)Molloy , which plays at Daemen on Friday night, suffered just their second loss of the season at home to Bentley, 99-92, on Tuesday. The Lions were led by William Brandon's season-high 24 points against their NE-10 opponent... On the year, Williams leads the Lions with his 16.8 points per game average. Three other players are scoring in double-figures. Jaylen Morris (15.3), Charlie Marquardt (12.4), and Matt McLeod (11.6)... No player is averaging more than five rebounds per game for Molloy. Matt McLeod leads the Lions with 4.9 rebounds per game...

SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (4-1, 0-0 ECC)Junior forward
Tyrel Dixon was named the ECC Co-Player of the Week after leading Roberts Wesleyan to the Wendy's College Classic final last Saturday. Dixon averaged 21 points per game over the three-game tournament... The three wins for the Redhawks snapped a two-game losing skid... As a team, Roberts Wesleyan is shooting well from long range. The team is shooting 37.4% from beyond the arc.
Marcus Gooding (34.9%) and
Jordan McBride (35.3%) lead the team in that category... Under the basket, senior forward
