Women's Basketball Hosts Queens and Molloy This Weekend

The Redhawks open up their East Coast Conference slate this weekend at home

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (Dec. 11, 2014) – The Women's Basketball team opens up East Coast Conference play this weekend with games against Queens on Friday and Molloy on Saturday.

The Friday night game is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. while Saturday's match-up is set for 2:00 p.m.

TICKETS
Roberts Wesleyan offers multiple ticket options, including courtside seating for $5. The 20 chair-back seats are available for all home games on a first-come first-serve basis. General admission is $3. Seniors (65 +) are $2, visiting students/children under 12 are $1, and RWC/NES students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid College ID.

PROMOTIONS
The basketball teams are partnering with the Pirate Toy Fund this weekend to help spread joy to children in the Rochester region. Anyone who donates a new toy at the games will receive free admission to the both the women's and men's games.
 
Fans will also have the chance to win prizes and giveaways from Salvatore's Pizzeria, Bill Gray's, Fatheads, Yolickity, and more.
 
SCOUTING QUEENS (3-2, 0-0 ECC)
Queens has had plenty of rest coming into the weekend. The Knights last played on Sunday, Nov. 30 when they lost on the road at Pace in overtime, 64-61...  Sophomore forward Madison Rowland leads Queens with her 18.2 points per game. She is shooting 46.8% from the field, 36.4% from long range, and 93.8% at the line... Rowland's sister MacKenzie is second on the team with 11.4 points per game... The two sisters also leads Queens in rebounding. They both average 8.6 rebounds per game through five games...
 
SCOUTING MOLLOY (3-2, 0-1 ECC)
Molloy opened the conference portion of their schedule with a 65-59 loss at home to St. Thomas Aquinas last Saturday. The Lions had won two-straight previously to the loss to STAC. Both wins were against CACC opponents... Three players are scoring in double-digits for Molloy thus far. Kimini Jackson (15.2), Ally Leftridge (14.2), and Alexia O'Connor (11.4) are the leading scorers... On the boards, Nicole Armone leads the Lions with 7.8 rebounds per game... As a team, Molloy shoots the ball well from long range. They are 34.2% from beyond the arc...
 
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (4-1, 0-0 ECC)
Roberts Wesleyan comes into the game having won three-straight games, all of which came during the annual Wendy's College Classic. The Redhawks picked up their second-consecutive title in the local tournament as they defeated Rochester in the final... Marissa Sell has picked up right where she left off last season. She has earned a double-double in all four games she has appeared in. Over the last two seasons, Sell has averaged a double-double... Sell also comes into the weekend with 975 career points... Samantha Courtney has been a force on the defensive end thus far. The junior has 18 blocks through five games, which puts her second in the conference... As a team, Roberts Wesleyan is shooting 25.3% from long range, placing them 10th out of 11 teams in the ECC...
