ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 22, 2015) – Roberts Wesleyan hosts NYIT and LIU Post in a pair of East Coast Conference games this weekend.

The Redhawks will tip-off against NYIT at 6:00 p.m. on Friday before taking on LIU Post on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

TICKETS
Roberts Wesleyan offers multiple ticket options, including courtside seating for $5. The 20 chair-back seats are available for all home games on a first-come first-serve basis. General admission is $3. Seniors (65 +) are $2, visiting students/children under 12 are $1, and RWC/NES students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid College ID.

PROMOTIONS
With students back on campus, the Quad RAs will hold a pie eating contest at halftime of the men's game Friday night, which starts at 8:00 p.m.

For Saturday's games, the Student Association Leadership Team (SALT) will hold a scavenger hunt along with a paper airplane throwing contest with many prizes ups for grabs.
 
SCOUTING NYIT (12-3, 6-2 ECC)
NYIT's four-game winning streak was snapped by LIU Post on Tuesday as the Bears fell, 70-63, to the Pioneers. It was their first conference loss of the season... On the offensive side, NYIT is led by sophomore guard Shanice Allen's 17.0 points per game. Allen ranks third in the ECC in points per game. She is shooting 42.0 percent from the field through 14 games... On the boards, Shannon Duer leads the Bears with 9.6 rebounds per game. Dina Ragab is right behind with 8.3 per game...

SCOUTING LIU POST (10-6, 6-2 ECC)
LIU Post enters the weekend having won five of their last six games, including their 70-63 win over NYIT on Tuesday. In that win, Ashley Castle came off the bench to score a game-high 21 points while also hauling in eight rebounds... Chelsea Williams, a senior guard, leads LIU Post and is second in the conference with her 20.6 points per game... Despite their 10-6 record, the Pioneers hold a -1.7 scoring margin as well as ranking eighth in the conference in turnovers (19.8)... The team averages 21.1 fouls per game, the most in the ECC...
 
SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (10-4, 5-3 ECC)
The road to the ECC tournament gets challenging in the next two weeks. Roberts Wesleyan's next five opponents features four who sit ahead of them in the conference standings. As of this past Wednesday those four teams (NYIT, LIU Post, Queens, and UDC) are a combined 47-15... Senior forward Marissa Sell is looking to become the first player in program history to earn 1,000 career rebounds. She currently has 896 career rebounds. To reach 1,000, Sell needs to average 8.6 rebounds per game the rest of the way. She is averaging 12.2 rebounds through her first 13 games... Freshman guard Lucy Covley picked up ECC Rookie of the Week honors for the third time earlier this week. Covley is second on the team in scoring with 13.2 points per game. She is shooting 40.4 percent from beyond the arc...
