ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 8, 2015) –The Men's Basketball team looks to earn a pair of upsets this weekend as they take on league leaders, Bridgeport, on Friday as well as Dowling on Saturday, who sit in front of the Redhawks in the ECC standings.
Friday night's tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. while Saturday's contest is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
TICKETSRoberts Wesleyan offers multiple ticket options, including courtside seating for $5. The 20 chair-back seats are available for all home games on a first-come first-serve basis. General admission is $3. Seniors (65 +) are $2, visiting students/children under 12 are $1, and RWC/NES students, faculty, and staff are free with a valid College ID.
PROMOTIONSFriday's game is a part of Mascot Day as Reggie the Redhawk will host several of his friends, including Finley from the Rochester Razorsharks and R. Thunder from the Rochester Knighthawks. The mascots will hold autograph sessions in addition to entertaining fans during halftime of both the men's and women's games.
Saturday is Veteran Appreciation Day as the basketball teams will honor all veterans who have dutifully served our nation. Â
Also on Saturday, there will be a youth exhibition game at halftime, featuring a team of fifth graders from the
Reaves Stewart Basketball Alliance of Rochester.

SCOUTING BRIDGEPORT (8-3, 4-0 ECC)Bridgeport enters this weekend having won six in a row and eight of their last nine games... Most recently, the Purple Knights defeated Dominican (N.Y.) on the road, 80-74... Bridgeport has a balanced offense as five players are averaging double-digits through 11 games... Devon Elliot currently leads the team with 14.8 points per game. Fellow junior Bryce Elie, who has 16.5 points per game has missed the last three-games... Senior forward Willie Williams III is the Golden Lions top rebounder with 9.6 boards per game...

SCOUTING DOWLING (5-6, 3-1 ECC)Dowling, who sits in front of Roberts Wesleyan in the standings, have won three of their last four coming into the weekend... In their game, the Golden Lions clipped Adelphi, 92-78, at home on Dec. 20... Senior guard Darien Davis leads the ECC with his 26.3 points per game. After averaging 36.5 points per game, Davis was named the USBWA Division II National Player of the Week on Dec. 24... As a team, Dowling has struggled to win the battle of the boards as they hold a -7.6 rebounding margin through 11 games...

SCOUTING ROBERTS WESLEYAN (6-3, 1-2 ECC)The Redhawks have won five of their last six games after starting the season 1-2... In their last outing, Roberts Wesleyan walked away with a narrow 75-71 win at the District of Columbia. It was their first true road game of the season... Senior forward
Isaac Medeiros leads the Redhawks with his 15.8 points per game, which ranks him ninth in the East Coast Conference.
Tyrel Dixon ranks 11th in the conference and is second on the team with his 15.2 points per game... As a team, Roberts Wesleyan is shooting 37% from beyond the arc.
Marcus Gooding leads the Redhawks with 20 three-point field goals while
