Taylor Fletcher Scores Twice to Propel Women's Soccer at NYIT

The sophomore scored twice in the first ten minutes of the game to help the Redhawks earn a 3-0 win

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer snapped a short two-game skid with a decisive 3-0 win against NYIT this afternoon.
Leading the way in the win was Taylor Fletcher, who scored her first two goals of the season before Bella Mitrevski slotted home her 15th goal of the campaign.

Turning Point
Fletcher, a sophomore, put Roberts Weselayn ahead early by scoring the brace in the first ten minutes of the game. After scoring off of a Mitrevski pass in the 5th minute, Fletcher was able to send home a header off of a pass from Miranda Colon just two minutes later.

Individual Leaders
- Fletcher picked up four points (2 goals) while Mitrevski added three points (1 goal, 1 assist) for the Redhawks.
- After making one save, Mary Kate Eckert earned her fourth shutout and ninth win of the season.

Inside the Box Score
- Roberts Wesleyan gave little opportunity to the Bears, allowing just three shots the entire game.
- The Redhawks recorded season-highs with their 19 shots, 12 shots on goal, and seven corner kicks.
