OLD WESTBURY, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan men's basketball fell to NYIT on the road this evening despite a strong performance.

Freshman Quinn Carey came off the bench to lead the Redhawks with 18 points after making four three-pointers in the loss.

How It Happened
The Redhawks, who never led in the game, trailed by just two points with 26 seconds remaining after Zack Panebianco made a pair of free-throws to make it a 71-69 ball game.

NYIT capitalized over the final moments as they hit four of six shots from the charity stripe while the Redhawks were unable to convert a pair of shots.

Key Stat
The homestanding Bears managed to make 11 three-pointers in the win, which was the difference. Roberts Wesleyan led in points off turnovers (25 to 8), second chance points (10 to 4), and points in the paint (36 to 32).

Inside the Numbers
- Both teams made 28 shots from the field.
- Senior forward Tyrel Dixon earned a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds while adding four steals, two blocked shots, and two assists to stat line.
