Bridgeport, Conn. – The Roberts Wesleyan women's volleyball team fell to the University of Bridgeport in four sets Saturday afternoon, 25-22, 18-25, 17-25, 15-25.

The Redhawks got off to a strong start in the first match winning the set 25-22.
Kate Steger led the team on offense recording six kills in the set with help from
Anjali Thomson, and
Alexandre Tahauri who also added kills. Both
Rachel Holmes and
Elisabeth Rivera added two aces each to help give the Redhawks the opening set win.Â
In the second set, Bridgeport flew out to a 7-0 lead making it difficult for Roberts Wesleyan to fight their way back into the game. The Redhawks were able to crawl back and narrow the lead to 23-18 after four straight points off kills from
Kristina Button, Steger and Tahauri, but it wasn't enough as the team came up short losing the set 18-25.Â

The Purple Knights would go on to win sets three and four to get the victory as the Redhawks couldn't get things going offensively only scoring 17 points in the third and 15 points in the fourth.Â
Steger led the team with 13 total kills while
Elisabeth Rivera dished out 33 assists.Â
