Quick Start Sends Men's Lacrosse Past Dominican (N.Y.)

Roberts Wesleyan won their first conference road game of the season after a shooting out to a quick 5-0 lead

HILLBURN, N.Y. – Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse got back into the win column with a 14-8 victory over East Coast Conference foes, Dominican (N.Y.).

Five players scored twice for the Redhawks, who snapped a five-game skid.

Turning Point
The visiting Redhawks used a 5-0 first quarter to set the tone of the game in their first conference road contest of the season.

Roberts Wesleyan also held the Chargers scoreless in the third quarter as Colin Waden and Javier Zuniga extended the Redhawks' lead to 11-4 going into the fourth quarter.

Dominican scored four of the last seven goals of the game, but proved to be too little for the Chargers.

Individual Leaders
- Alex Bianchi, Cody Menzies, Seth Miller, Zac Sapor, and Zuniga all scored twice for Roberts Wesleyan. Miller led the team with a total of 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists).
- Keith Keehn was credited with 14 saves to earn the win in goal for the Redhawks. Colten Englert subbed in for the final five minutes as he was credited with making four stops.

Inside the Box Score
- The Chargers outshot Roberts Wesleyan 46 to 42, however the Redhawks held the edge in shots on goal (29 to 26).
- Miller won 13 of 23 face offs and has won 98 of 171 on the year.

- With the win, Roberts Wesleyan improved to 4-1 all-time against the Chargers.
- Dom Cianfarano, who scored once in the winning effort, notched his 20th goal of the season.
