Men's Lacrosse Stunned by No. 17 Lindenwood

Roberts Wesleyan suffered a 12-4 setback at home to the Lions in a non-conference game Thursday afternoon

ROCHESTER, N.Y. –In a non-conference game, Roberts Wesleyan men's lacrosse fell to No. 17 Lindenwood (Mo.), 12-4.

The Redhawks were led by Matt Benedict's two goals as Keith Keehn made 19 saves in the setback.

Turning Point
The visiting Lions managed to shutout Roberts Wesleyan through two quarters before the Redhawks got on the board early in the third quarter to end Lindenwood's streak of eight-straight goals.

Roberts Wesleyan didn't give up in the game as they notched three more goals in the final 15 minutes of the game.

Individual Leaders
- Keehn was kept busy the entire game as he tied a program record with 19 saves. Overall, the junior faced a season-high 43 shots.
- Senior London Booker and John Wellington each scored once as Booker made two assists as Brady Bermingham had one assist.

Inside the Box Score
- The Chargers outshot Roberts Wesleyan 46 to 42, however the Redhawks held the edge in shots on goal (29 to 26).
- Miller won 13 of 23 face offs and has won 98 of 171 on the year.

News & Notes
- This marked the first meeting against Lindenwood, who competes in the ECAC Division II Men's Lacrosse Conference.
- Adam Doviak now holds the program record for most caused turnovers in a career with 36. He was tied with former standout, Alex Williams who held the record of 35.
