ROCHESTER, N.Y. - On the heels of making a run to the East Coast Conference championship game, Roberts Wesleyan women's basketball will host the NCCAA Midwest Regional semifinal Thursday evening.
The No. 1 seeded Redhawks will host No. 4 seed Oakland City (Ind.) inside the Voller Athletic Center with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.
If Roberts Wesleyan wins, they will then host the winner of the No. 2 Lancaster Bible (Pa.)/No. 3 Ohio Christian semifinal on Saturday at 1 p.m.
In their last NCCAA appearance, the Redhawks advanced to the National Championship semifinals after edging Oklahoma Christian, 69-66. They fell 72-70 to Lee (Tenn.) by two points in the semifinal.
Oakland City, an NCAA Division II independent, comes into the game with a 10-12 overall record.
The winner of the Midwest Regional tournament will receive the region's automatic bid to the NCCAA National Championships which is held at Grace (Ind.) in Winona Lake, Ind. and runs March 16-19.
