AMHERST, N.Y. – A late second half goal proved to be the difference in a 1-0 loss for the Roberts Wesleyan women's soccer team as they fell to thruway rival Daemen on Wednesday afternoon in an East Coast Conference matchup.

Sophomore forward Jamie Boyar scored the game-winner in the 73
rd minute on an unassisted goal to give the Wildcats their sixth win of the season.

The Redhawks drop to 1-9-1 on the season and 0-4 in the ECC. Six of the 11 games have resulted in Roberts losing by a single goal.

"It was a good effort from the team today, just an unlucky result," said head coach
Sarah McClellan. "Certainly our play deserved better, but we move on and focus on the next match."

Roberts Wesleyan will host Saint Thomas Aquinas College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
